"Plastic is a valuable resource and we want full circularity."

UK-based magazine Monocle provides their multinational readership a briefing on global affairs, business, culture and design. Selling 80,000 copies globally per issue, they explore in their latest issue 10 visionary schemes that could transform how our urban environments take shape. We are extremely proud that they looked to Norway, and highlighted our vision: How to turn plastic marine waste into new products with full circularity. Our CEO Runa Haug Khoury said: “Plastic is a valuable resource and we want full circularity. [...] We want to channel it into useful items for the retail and catering sectors. [...] Most of us want to see the world produce less plastic but the incentive isn’t there yet,” stressing that sourcing virgin plastic is less expensive than recycling it. “We want to be the ones promoting quality offerings and closing the plastic loop.”
