AION's Nestable Pallet has been selected as a finalist for the Plastics Recycling Awards Europe 2023

A circular pallet with digital value chain traceability

The AION Nestable pallet is designed for full circularity. The pallet is produced from 100% recycled polypropylene/polyethylene from waste streams such as big bags. At the pallet's end of life, the entire product can be shredded down with full repurposing of material into a new pallet production. As such, the product is designed for a full closed loop solution.

AION's Nestable Pallet's value chain and use is set up for full integration with AION Loop, AION's digital platform that enables the collection and utilization of data from AION’s circular value chain. This enables traceability of material composition and product throughout the full life cycle and the provision of ESG reporting.

Functionalities designed for efficient reuse

The AION Nestable Pallet is designed in close dialogue with the Norwegian seafood industry, that transports large volumes of product on high volume routes, as described in this article on AION's pallet made from recycled bigbags from the industry itself.

AION's Nestable Pallet is designed for light-weith and efficient stackability to ensure efficient and low impact tranportation in pallet reuse (RTI) pooling schemes. The Nestable Pallet has been designed for optimal washing and handling with 4 way entry for forklifts and is RFID and IOT ready.
