Our Story
AION was born inside Aker BioMarine, a company with an industrial-scale plastic problem of its own: fishing nets, pallets, bags, and drums that were costly to move and costly to dispose of. We spun out in 2020 to solve that class of problem more widely.

6 years of experience across logistics, food service, and maritime operations have sharpened our view of where the real value sits. What started as a focus on visibility into waste and supply chains has grown into a deeper understanding of the value that design solutions themselves deliver to transport packaging.

AION today is built around what operators need: reusable packaging that minimises cost and waste. We lead with the economics. The environmental result follows from the same efficiency, counted in a second currency, and we always quantify both.

Our goal is to reduce inefficiency in the movement of goods, with a focus on reusable plastic packaging. Resource efficiency in logistics and material consumption delivers a double dividend: operational savings and a lower environmental impact.
