Nestable pallet: built for the return leg, made from the industry's own big-bag waste
AION · Nestable pallet · In operation with Circmar

THE PROBLEM
A standard pallet stacks 16 high when empty, so return trucks carry mostly air. In seafood it also has to survive cold, washing and bio-secure handling.
THE SOLUTION
Nestable pallet
Nine feet and four-way entry on a euro pallet footprint. Empty pallets nest without being turned upside down by hand. The pallet has a packaging notch, washes clean for bio-secure handling and is ready for IoT tracking.

THE VALUE
2.8 X
more empty pallets per truck
return freight is billed per truck, not per pallet
A standard EUR pallet stacks 16 high in 2,400 mm, which puts 528 on a return truck. The AION pallet nests 45 high, so the same truck carries 1,485.
